Progression and Career Development

The Trust is passionate about supporting its employees to be the best they can be. There have been a number of very successful secondment opportunities which have given employees access to new experiences and cross-phase working – some of which have resulted in promotion to senior posts.

There are also leadership programmes, the apprenticeship scheme and the opportunity to enhance current skills or learn new ones through fully funded short courses and professional training.

Competitive Pension Schemes

͵¿ú×ÔÅÄ employees can be part of a highly competitive pension scheme to help you plan for the future. Our support staff are eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and our teaching staff can join the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

Generous Holiday Allowance

Support staff receive generous holiday entitlements in the first instance, plus bank holidays and the number of days of holiday increases with the length of service. Many roles at ͵¿ú×ÔÅÄ are term-time only so if you have a family, you get to share their holidays.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

͵¿ú×ÔÅÄ is committed to ensuring everyone thrives within the organisation. To support this, we have a comprehensive mental health and wellbeing package for staff. This includes an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) service that is available 24/7 for support, advice and guidance.Ìý We promote that each school has a dedicated in house Senior Mental Health Lead who oversees the wellbeing provision for pupils but also for staff. As a Trust we have adopted the PERMA+4 model for organisational wellbeing that promotes not only the absence of ill health but how you as an individual can thrive in your workplace. Should things become difficult, and you need extra support, staff can also access counselling through our EAP service and access Occupational Health for bespoke support. The Trust also has a Wellbeing lead who in addition to strategic support, runs a weekly wellbeing surgery for anyone working within the Trust.

Free Counselling Service

As well as offering a 24/7 contact service (through phone, web chat or text) our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) can also offer staff a free counselling service. Following an initial contact the counselor will work with the employee to review if counselling is appropriate for them.Ìý If agreed then staff, their partners and dependents aged over 16 can access up to 8 sessions of free counselling. This can be related to any issue that is impacting upon their well-being, not just work-related issues.

͵¿ú×ÔÅÄ are proud to partner with Vivup to provide staff with 24/7 access to the employee benefit platform. Vivup has over 1,150 employee discounts available from a wide variety of high street stores, supermarkets and wellbeing providers.

Gym Membership

Employees can join selected Everyone Active Leisure Centres and pay a special rate per month to include access to the gym, exercise classes and swimming pool.

The Trust recognise all teaching and education support staff trade unions and professional associations. We have good working relationships, have policy working parties and consult with trade unions and professional associations throughout the year.
